3. ‘ A taste of the world!' – Balti Triangl

Birmingham is known as the Capital of the Balti, which is not surprising as this spicy dish was introduced to the city by its large Kashmiri population. Located in the Sparkbrook area, the Balti Triangle boasts over 50 restaurants, dedicated to Indian/Pakistani cuisine. In addition, there are many other cultural shops, ranging from Asian clothes and fashion, Exotic foods and of course "Bollywood" merchandise.

In this excursion you will learn everything of the Balti food and of the way this commercial district has risen in the past few years. In the summer of 2005 there was an unfortunate tornado in this neighbourhood and you will learn more about the ways the residents have been trying to restore their neighbourhood.
